The ARM Process: Fire Door Inspections, Remediation and Maintenance

One connected programme rather than three separate jobs. Assess tells you where your buildings stand, Reinstate puts the physical work right, and Maintain keeps you compliant year after year. You can start at any stage, and you are never committed to the next one.

How Fire Safety Compliance Works, Start to Finish

You are expected to be the responsible person, but without the support, clarity, or trust you need to make confident decisions. The ARM Process is how we close that gap.

A

Assess

Fire door inspections, fire risk assessments and fire compartmentation surveys that establish exactly where you stand today.

R

Reinstate

Fire door remediation, replacement and firestopping, carried out against the findings rather than a generic scope.

M

Maintain

Fire door maintenance contracts that keep your buildings compliant as they age, on a schedule you can plan a budget around.

A Assess

We start by finding out what you actually have. Every door is checked against its certification and its installed condition, and every finding is written in plain English with a photograph and a clear priority. You get a picture you can act on and share, not a spreadsheet you need an expert to read.

  • Fire Door Inspections
  • Fire Risk Assessments (Type 1 and Type 3)
  • Fire Compartmentation Surveys
  • Fire Compartmentation Plans

Accredited fire door inspectors working across Sussex, Surrey, Kent and Hampshire. If a door is fine, we tell you it is fine.

What Happens Between Each Stage

01

A Conversation First

We talk through your portfolio, what you already hold, and what is worrying you. No site visit is booked until we both know it is the right one.

02

Findings You Can Read

Your report arrives with a priority order, photographs, and a plain summary you can put in front of a board or a resident group.

03

Works Quoted Line by Line

Every item traces back to a finding, so you can approve, defer or budget for each one. Repair is quoted before replacement wherever repair is genuinely the right answer.

04

A Schedule, Not a Surprise

Once the works are signed off, we agree an inspection rhythm that fits your reporting year, so nothing lands on you unannounced.

R Reinstate

This is the physical work, carried out by the same team that surveyed the building. Most doors do not need replacing. Where a door can be brought back to standard with the right components and a competent repair, we say so, and we show you the difference in cost before you commit.

  • Fire Door Repairs and Upgrades
  • Fire Door Replacement and Installation
  • Firestopping Installation

All remedial work is recorded against the original finding, so your evidence trail stays intact from survey to sign off.

M Maintain: Fire Door Maintenance Contracts

Three levels, so you can match the contract to the building rather than the other way round. Every tier includes scheduled inspection and a report you can hand upward.

Tier 01

Maintain Essential

Scheduled inspection only. The right fit where your doors are in good order and you need the evidence kept current.

  • Scheduled fire door inspection
  • Photographic report per door
  • Priority-ordered action list
Tier 03

Maintain Premier

Inspection plus an extended range of minor remedial works, for portfolios where doors take heavy daily use.

  • Everything in Maintain Plus
  • Extended range of remedial works
  • Named account contact

Start Wherever You Are

Most clients begin with Assess, but you can join the ARM Process at any stage. Tell us what you already hold and we will tell you what is genuinely missing.
